Physics Education Research Conference 2026 (click to expand)
July 22-23, 2026 in Pasadena California
Artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced many aspects of modern life for decades, but the public release of tools such as ChatGPT in late 2022 accelerated awareness of how significantly AI may shape the future of education. The Physics Education Research (PER) community is well positioned to engage with both the technical capabilities of AI and the educational questions it raises.
A growing body of PER scholarship reflects increasing interest in this emerging research area and highlights the community’s ability to address complex, interdisciplinary challenges. The 2026 Physics Education Research Conference (PERC) invites participants to share research, experiences, and perspectives exploring AI’s role in PER and in education more broadly.
